Free Spirit Gathering 2026 - 40th year

The wild wood calls! Venture with us through the fields and trails of Camp Ramblewood to see what edible, medicinal, and otherwise useful plants we can find. Lammas is a time of transition in the Eastern Woodlands: some summer plants are fading, but others are still going strong, and the first fruits and nuts of fall are starting to ripen. We will discuss how to identify these plants, their practical uses, and the folklore surrounding them. (Note that this workshop will involve around a mile of gently paced walking over at-times-uneven terrain.)
