Rune readers of all experience levels once began by memorizing translated meanings and applying those meanings to answer questions. Each rune represents a specific concept during divination but as complex as those concepts can be in isolation, reading runes can sometimes feel like answering a question without using any verbs. Weaving those concepts into living energies is what brings momentum and clarity to readings. Storytelling is an ancient tradition that has supported learning, sharing, and deepening our understanding of the world since the earliest days of humanity. This class explores the runes of the Northumbrian futhark through the lens of a storyteller and breaths new life into runic divination. Learn a modern approach to working with runic energies and gain a deeper understanding of the way that these energies shape our lives.

This block of instruction will be both informational and interactive. Each day we will go step by step into what shamanism is, shamanic journeying, and acquiring a spirit animal. I will be using rattles, hand drums, and incense. Each session will be based in my experience as well as backed up by my studies and literature. Every participant will be encouraged to enter the circle with vulnerability and be open and honest. No matter what level of learning or understanding all participants will be asked to leave what they know at the door and be open to learn with an open mind and heart, approaching the class with a childlike heart. Day 1: Core Shamanism: Opening Sacred Space in the Nordic Way. We’ll begin our journey by crafting our very own, nature-safe "faerie food." Using natural, wholesome ingredients, you'll learn what the Fae love most and how to prepare offerings with respect and intention.
Once our feast is ready, we’ll venture out onto the camp’s hidden trails. Together, we will:
  • Learn the Art of Seeing: Train your eyes to spot the subtle signs of Fae presence—from mushroom rings to hidden mossy glens.
  • Practice Eco-Friendly Offerings: Discover how to leave gifts for nature spirits safely, ensuring we respect the local wildlife and environment.

This introductory workshop is designed to provide practitioners new to energy work with a solid understanding of the basics. Things start off with exercises on how to sense, move, and manipulate energy, both in yourself and with others. Once the class has a good sense on how energy “feels”, we will cover the importance of grounding and shielding, and provide lessons for those who struggle with either or both of these techniques. In closing, we will discuss the very important issue of ethical energy work. Why? Because unless energy work is done ethically, then regardless of one’s intentions, that work may not simply fail, but potentially cause unintended harm.

In this class we will discuss queer deities throughout history as well as the ancestors that can be drawn upon outside of bloodlines. We will explore queering and queered magics, from turning rituals that already exist into ones that center queer experience, to creating or embracing rituals and paths specifically for those of us who walk these paths. Let us acknowledge the power of being outside of, living between, or embracing multiple layers of orientation, identity, and experience. Have you been feeling the call of the drum but don’t know where to start or how to jump in? Join Keiden, a ritual drummer and facilitator, if you’ve been feeling the rhythm. 


This class is for you if:
  • You’ve never been to FSG and want to learn more about what we do down at the fire circle
  • You’d like to learn some basic rhythms on the drum
  • You want to learn more about the role of rhythm in fire circle magic


In this class we will chat briefly about the etiquette and flow of the fire circle; as well as the role of rhythm in the flow between the dancers, drummers, and the fire. We will learn some drum patterns to bring to the circle. Please bring a drum or percussive instrument if you have one, there will be a couple available to borrow.

All are invited to our opening ritual! We will be calling the elements and setting our magical intention for the week. Our ritual work this week will be creating an intention shrine to stay in the labyrinth field for years to come. Over the week we will be creating a temple to this 
shrine and filling it with our intentions. At the end of the week we will burn the temple and offer our magical energy to manifesting everyone’s offered intentions. 
We will open with calling the quarters and many elements along with them. Our opening ritual will introduce our intention statue and dedicate our temple. The shrine and temple will be available to visit/work with all week.
