Across time and culture, textiles have carried protection, memory, and identity. In this workshop, we’ll explore the history of knot magic, textile resistance, and community craft traditions before creating a protective talisman. This class focuses on accessible making, meaningful symbolism, and translating historical inspiration into personal creative or spiritual practice. All are welcome regardless of textile experience. 

A 2018 NASA study tested 1600 children between the ages of 4 and 5 for creativity and discovered that a staggering 98% scored as creative geniuses; however, by the time these same children were 15 only 12% still tested in the “creative genius” category.
What happened?
Our school system taught children to fear, judge, and conform when it should have been teaching them how to love, accept, and express themselves authentically.
This workshop aims to help adults rediscover their inner “creative genius” through breathwork, movement and space exercises, and improvisational theater games.
Participants will learn to get out of their heads and into their hearts, so they can stay aware at all times and be open to the infinite possibilities that surround us every day.
I believe Creativity and Love are infinite resources that have the power to transform our lives and the world.
I will teach you how to cultivate both, so you may empower yourself, your friends, family, and community.

In dark times it’s vital that we find light and joy to sustain us. The Heathen tradition of ritual Toasting & Boasting is designed to do exactly that. Come raise a glass to someone who helped you when you needed it or announce your wonderful accomplishments to a community happy to raise their glasses to you. We all deserve to celebrate the good parts of life with a crowd of people who yell “HAIL!” a lot! Join Oak the Nameless to toast the ones you love and boast about your victories! Fancy drinking vessels are encouraged. Some beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be provided but feel free to bring more!
